Day 08: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m) 6-7 hours

Day 09: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m) and back to Lobuche (4940m) 7-8 hours

Day 10: Lobuche to Kongma La (5,535m) to Chhukung (4,730m) 6-7 hours

Day 11: Chhukung to Island Peak base camp (5,200m) 3-4 hours

Day 12: Island Peak base camp to Island Peak summit (6,189m), back to base camp 10-12 hours

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival meet our office representative at the airport. You will transfer to the hotel and after reach in the hotel we will check out the hotel then after we will explore all around the Thamel Bazaar then we come back to the hotel and spend one night in Kathmandu valley.  

Day 02: Fly to Lukla then trek to Phakding (2,652m) 3-4 hours

Early in the morning after having breakfast, we will move towards local airport of Kathmandu valley to fly towards Lukla. After 30 minutes flight from Kathmandu valley we will reach Lukla and after reach, in Lukla, we will take some rest then after we will slowly move towards Phakding where we will spend one night in this beautiful place.  

Day 03: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5-6 hours

Today is the first day of walking trekking of this route. The trail leads to Jorsale where you enter the Sagarmatha national park. Our trail takes us first over the Dudhkoshi River and a long suspension bridge before reaching Namche Bazaar where we will go to spend the peaceful night.  

Day 04: Rest day in Namche Bazaar

This day we do not start our trekking because today is for the rest day. After having breakfast we will go to explore all around Namche Bazaar. We will have our lunch on the way then after again we will explore the Namche Bazaar village and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.    

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m) 5- 6 hours

After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly move towards Tengboche after spending the wonderful night in Namche Bazaar. We get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscape, and small villages before reach in Tengboche. It takes almost 5 to 6 hours to reach Tengboche from Namche Bazaar and spend one night in Tengboche.   

Day 06: Tengboche to Pheriche (4,200m) 4-5 hours

Our trek today kicks off with a walk through the rhododendron forest to Pheriche followed by a bridge over the raging Imja Khola River. With the Himalayas as its backdrops, the monastery in Tengboche is in an excellent landscape. We will also see the small helipad that is used for helicopter rescues during emergencies.  

Day 07: Pheriche to Lobuche (4,930m) 5-6 hours

The trail continues to the Khumbu Glacier moraine and we find ourselves facing several great peaks. The next part of our adventure brings over craggy mountain terrain to Lobuche, a small settlement with the amazing view of the mountain.   

Day 08: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m) 6-7 hours

Spending the wonderful night in Lobuche we will slowly start our trekking towards Gorak Shep after having breakfast early in the morning. On the way to our destination, we will approach the famed Khumbu glacier and icefall. After 6 to 7 hours walking we will reach Gorak Shep where we will spend one night.

Day 09: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m) and back to Lobuche (4940m) 7-8 hours

Early in the morning after having breakfast we will slowly start our tr4ekking towards Kala Patthar after spending the wonderful and peaceful night in Gorak Shep. After reach in Kala Patthar, we will explore all around the valley and then we will back to Lobuche where we will spend one night.

Day 10: Lobuche to Kongma La (5,535m) to Chhukung (4,730m) 6-7 hours

 In the morning time after having breakfast, we will slowly start our walking towards Kongma La after spending the wonderful and the peaceful night in Lobuche. After reach in Kongma La, we will have our lunch then after taking some rest and slowly move towards Chhukung where we will spend one night. 

Day 11: Chhukung to Island Peak base camp (5,200m) 3-4 hours

After having breakfast early in the morning, we will slowly start our waking towards island peak base camp after spending one night in Chhukung. It takes almost 3 to 4 hours to reach the island peak base camp where we will spend the wonderful and the peaceful night.

Day 12:  Base camp to Island Peak summit (6,189m), back to base camp 10-12 hours

Today early in the morning before the sunrise we will start our trekking towards to summit Island peak. We start our trek around 4 o’clock. We will have our breakfast and lunch on the way. After summiting the Island Peak we will come back to base camp where we will spend one night.   

Day 13: Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche (3,985m) 5-6 hours

We leave Island Peak Base Camp for Pangboche after having breakfast early in the morning. Today walk will be a much easier as we descend to the lower altitude. We retraced the original steps of our ascent as we make our way back down the mountain again.

Day 14: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 4-5 hours

Leaving Pangboche for Namche Bazaar after having breakfast early in the morning and the walk from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar is mainly downhill. It takes almost 4 to 5 hours to reach Namche Bazaar from Pangboche. We will spend the wonderful and peaceful night in this beautiful village.  

Day 15:  Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m) 6-7 hours

As the trail up we get surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks. The village of Lukla has scattered settlement with a couple of teahouses and lodges. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Lukla village. After reaching Lukla, first of all, we will check out the hotel and spend one night in this beautiful village.     

Day 16: Fly to Kathmandu (1,350m)

If the hotel is able to make the breakfast then we will have our breakfast and then after we will go to the local airport of Lukla to fly towards Kathmandu valley. After reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel then after we will have our lunch and explore all around the Kathmandu valley and spend one night in this valley.

Day 17: Final Departure

Today early in the morning, you will send you to the airport after having breakfast in the hotel. A representative from Everest trekking routes will take us to the airport approximately three hours before the Scheduled flight.
