Manaslu Circuit Trek 14 Days is one of the most popular trekking routes in the Himalayan region of Nepal. While on the trip we get to marvel at the magnificent views of the world 8th highest mountain in the world. It is a combination of both Hindu and Buddhism culture. Nepal is the adventure junkies that get their thrill from the many trekking route and option to see some of the top ten tallest mountains in the world in just one trekking journey. Measured as one of the toughest trekking in Nepal so requires a good experience of trekking and a superior physical condition as this trekking provides the perfect views of mountains. Manaslu Circuit Trek 14 Days is one of the thrilling trekking mountains and also it is extremely rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. The trek is a strenuous trek and a good level of fitness and trekking experience is strongly advised. The peak is the highest in the Gorkha District and it is not considered so difficult both mental and physical preparation is required. This trekking is growing in popularity as an alternative to Annapurna Circuit trekking. This circuit trekking is one of the best treks known for its solidarity and preservation.

Manaslu Circuit Trek 14 Days begins from Gorkha Arughat after 7 to 8 hours drive from Kathmandu valley. At the time of trekking, we will have a great view of the mountain, beautiful village, landscapes, and flora, and fauna of this region. Trekking trails follow Buri Gandaki River all the way to Dharamshala. The route is newly trekking route and this trekking route is restricted trekking route that’s why we need a special trekking permit for trekking in this route. We will enter the Manaslu Conservation area trek which is the home of the many rare birds, animals, flora, and fauna. The most interesting things about the trek are close interactions with the local and ethnic groups living around the route which provides a great opportunity to augments multi-cultures for tourists. During the time of trekking, we will have a great view of the mountain which includes Manaslu Mountain. We get an opportunity to know about the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Gurung people who are the local inhabitant of this region. March to June and September to December is considered as the best season for trekking in this route. If you want to trek in this route and you don’t have enough time to trek then this will be the better option for you.

Day 07: Deng to Namrung (2630m) 5-6 hrs

Day 08: Namrung to Lho (3180m) 4 hrs

Day 09: Lho to Samagaou (3520m) 4-5 hrs   

Day 10: Rest day in Samagaou

Day 11: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo (3690m) 4-5 hrs

Day 12: Trek from Samdo to Larkya La Phedi (4460m) 4-5 hrs

Details Itinerary 

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

We will have the representative waiting for you at the airport upon your arrival. After welcoming in the airport, we will move towards Thamel bazaar where we will spend one night. Before we reach the hotel, we will see the Pashupatinath temple which is the famous temple for the Hindu people. In the Thamel Bazaar, we may also stroll in the streets. And we will have a great night in Kathmandu valley.      

Day 02: Explore In Kathmandu valley 

After breakfast we start a tour to most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' Swayambhunath and Buddhist shrine Bouddhanath which is one of the largest stupas in the world are listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then after finish tour and back hotel, take rest and prepare for trekking.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Aarkhet Bazaar (620m) 6 -9 hrs

If the hotel is able to make the breakfast then we will have our breakfast in the hotel and if not we will have our breakfast on the way. From Kathmandu, we will take the tourist bus towards Aarkhet Bazaar from where we officially start our trek. During the drive, we enjoy views of the Nepalese countryside along with the mountain scenery. After reach in Aarkhet Bazaar, we will check out the hotel and we will have a great night in this beautiful bazaar.  

Day 04: Aarkhet to Machhe Khola (870m) 5-6 hrs

On the 3rd, we will slowly start our trekking towards Machhe Khola after having breakfast in the hotel where we spend one night. Today is the first-day walking trekking of our Manaslu circuit trek. Today we head down again to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach Maccha Khola where we will spend one night.  

Day 05: MachheKhola to Jagat (1340m) 5-6 hrs

We will spend some time here and can enjoy the natural sauna in the hot spring and relieve all our tiredness and stress of the trek. We will cross the west bank of the Budhi Gandaki. We climb over a ridge and the trek along the river and then climb towards the villages of Jagat where we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.   

Day 06: Jagat to Deng (1860m) 5-6 hrs

We will leave Jagat, cross the suspension bridges and reach Salleri from where the majestic views of Sringi Himal can be seen. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Deng where we will spend one night.  

Day 07: Deng to Namrung (2630m) 5-6 hrs

The trail passes through the forest and painted Mani stones and a corner from where we reach Ghap. From here we climb uphill to join the trail that leads to Bih. On the way will have our lunch on the way and we will slowly move towards Namrung where we will spend one night.  

Day 08: Namrung to Lho (3180m) 4 hrs

After having breakfast, early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Lho after spending the wonderful night in Namrung. Today is the short day on our trekking because there are so magnificent views on the way to Lho where we will spend one night in this beautiful village. 

Day 09: Lho to Samagaou (3520m) 4-5 hrs

From Lho, we set out for our destination today. We will enjoy wonderful views of the mountain which includes Mt Manaslu from Lho village and also explore the famous Ribung Gompa. As you continue on the main trail, you soon reach the fields of Samagaou where we will spend one night.     

Day 10: Rest day in Samagaou

Today we don’t start our trekking because today is for the rest day. This is a day for rest at Samagau to give you some acclimation. We stay in Samagaou and explore the surrounding areas or visit Birendra Tal and Anie Gompa. We will be making our body active constantly by hiking to a nearby location or exploring the area so that our body used to the altitude.   

Day 11: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo (3690m) 4-5 hrs

In the morning time, we will slowly move towards Samdo after spending the wonderful night in Samagaon. We come across the forest field with birch, juniper, rhododendron, moss, and lichen. This is an excellent viewpoint for Mt Manaslu, Samdo, Nagdi Chuli, Sonam Himal, Manaslu glacier before reach in Samdo where we will spend one night in this village.  

Day 12: Trek from Samdo to Larkya La Phedi (4460m) 4-5 hrs

Early in the morning, after having breakfast we will slowly move towards Larkya La Phedi after the wonderful night in Samdo.  We will have great mountain views on the way and we get an opportunity to see the beautiful villages of this route. The night will be spent at a lodge in Samdo.   

Day 13: Larkya La Phedi to Larkya La to Bimthang (3590m) 8-10 hrs

We continue our walk down the edge. We cross the wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki and begin walking upward. From Larkya La Phedi we will slowly move toward Larkya La where we will have our lunch. After having lunch we will leave this place for Bimthang where we will spend one night.

Day 14: Bimthang to Tilije (2360m) 6-7 hrs

We leave Bimthang for Tilije. After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly start our trekking towards Tilije after spending the wonderful night in Bimthang. We make our way down towards high pasture and then a bridge over Dudh Khola. We walk down you cross a stream to reach Tilije we will spend one night in this village.   

Day 15: Tilije to Tal (1700m) 5-6 hrs

Leaving Tilije for Tal and we then cross the bridge over Dudh Khola and climb up through a Chorten-shaped arch. On the way, we will have our lunch then after we will slowly move towards Tal. Before reach in Tal, we will cross many suspension bridges then after we will reach Tal where we will spend one night.    

Day 16: Tal to Besi Sahar (800m) then drive to Kathmandu

Today is the last day walking trekking where we will walk from Tal to Besisahar. After reach in Besisahar, we will have our lunch and then after we will drive towards Kathmandu valley. We will see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscapes. After reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, check out the hotel then after we will explore all around the Thamel Bazaar where we will spend one night.         

Day 17: Final departure

Early in the morning, our staff will take you through the international airport to see you off. If your flight leaves early we will drop you off at the airport.
