Manaslu Round Trekking 18 Days is one of the challenging trekking destinations on the Manaslu foothills. Trekking around this route offers quite a unique opportunity to experience a reasonably untouched region of Nepal. The avalanche and strong wind make it a very difficult mountain to scale. The trail that ascends with the Budhi Gandaki River valley through the lush forest of Rhododendron, pine and oak up to the barren lands north of Mt Manaslu which is truly considered is one of the adventurous trekking routes in the Manaslu region. A trekking experience in the Manaslu region is unlikely any other. Manaslu Round Trekking 18 Days is also known for the home of world 8th highest mountain in the world and it is believed to be the first choice for those who prefer to become one with nature. Trekking in this route is one of the delightful adventures. All the feature of this region, have made it one of the most attractive trekking places in Nepal. We will have a great view of the Himalayan scenery, cultural diversity, natural scenery, and wonderful flora, and fauna. The trekking route is the less crowded and provides the basic facilities to the trekkers. Many people from this route are inspired or influenced by Buddhism or you can say that many people of this region are Buddhist.

Manaslu Round Trekking 18 Days begins from Arughat which lies in Gorkha district of Nepal after 7 to 8 hours drive from Kathmandu valley. The trek is a strenuous trek and a good level of fitness and trekking experience is strongly advised. This is one of the thrilling trekking mountains and also it is extremely rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. The Manaslu trekking route is newly open and this trekking route is restricted trekking route that’s why we need a special trekking permit for trekking in this route. We will enter the Manaslu Conservation area which is the home of the many rare birds, animals, flora, and fauna. During the time of trekking, we get an opportunity to know about the culture, traditions, and the lifestyle of the Gurung people who are the local inhabitant of this beautiful region. The most interesting things about the trek are close interactions with the local and ethnic groups living around the route which provides a great opportunity to augments multi-cultures for tourists. The season between March to May and October to November is the best season for trekking in this route. If you are willing to do Manaslu round trek but you have limited time to trek in this route then this will be the better option for trekking on this route.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 20: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and trek preparation.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat and Sotikhola (710m) 8-9 hrs

Day 04: Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m) 6-7 hrs

Day 05: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1,410m) 6-7 hrs

Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Deng (1,804m) 6-7 hrs

Day 07: Trek from Deng to Namrung (2,630m) 6-7 hrs

Day 08: Trek from Namrung to Samagaun (3,530m) 6-7 hrs

Day 09: Rest day in Samagaon explore Birendra Tal, pungyen gompa, Manaslu base camp

Day 10: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo (3,860m) 4-5 hrs

Day 11: Acclimatization day in Samdo

Day 12: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4,460m) 4-5 hrs

Day 13: Trek from Dharamsala to Bimthang (3,590m) 8-9 hrs

Day 14: Trek from Bimthang to Tilije (2,300m) 5-6 hrs

Day 15: Trek from Tilije to Tal (1,700m) 5-6 hrs

Day 16: Trek from Tal to Syange (1,080m) 6-7 hrs

Day 17: Drive from Syange to Kathmandu 8-9 hrs drive

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

We will have the representative waiting for you at the airport upon your arrival. After welcoming in the airport, we will move towards Thamel bazaar where we will spend one night. when we reach our Hotel then take a rest after travel in your plan got tired so have to take a relax in the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.

after weak up, early morning have a visit like an hour in Thamel bazaar then back hotel and have a breakfast then move to do a sightseeing for some Hindu temple and world heritage site place like Pashupatinath Temple,  Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square after a finish sightseeing then back Hotel and be preparing yourself for tomorrow moving trek.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (710m) 8-9 hrs

If the hotel is able to make the breakfast then we will have our breakfast in the hotel and if not we will have our breakfast on the way. From Kathmandu, we will take the tourist bus towards Sotikhola from where we officially start our trek. During the drive, we enjoy views of the Nepalese countryside along with the mountain scenery. After reach in Sotikhola, we will check out the hotel and we will have a great night in this beautiful bazaar. 

Day 04: Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m) 6-7 hrs

On the 3rd, we will slowly start our trekking towards Machhe Khola after having breakfast in the hotel where we spend one night. Today is the first-day walking trekking of our Manaslu circuit trek. Today we head down again to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach Maccha Khola where we will spend one night.  

Day 05: Trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat (1,410m) 6-7 hrs

We cross the Machha Khola, headstream to the tiny village of Khorla Bensi and the hot springs at Tatopani. We will cross the west bank of the Budhi Gandaki. We climb over a ridge and the trek along the river and then climb towards the villages of Jagat where we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.  

Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Deng (1,804m) 6-7 hrs

We will leave Jagat, cross the suspension bridges and reach Salleri from where the majestic views of Sringi Himal can be seen. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Deng where we will spend one night. 

Day 07: Trek from Deng to Namrung (2,630m) 6-7 hrs

During this one day trekking, we will pass through the forest and painted Mani stones and a corner from where we reach Ghap. From here we climb uphill to join the trail that leads to Bih. On the way will have our lunch on the way and we will slowly move towards Namrung where we will spend one night. 

Day 08: Trek from Namrung to Samagaun (3,530m) 6-7 hrs

After having breakfast, early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Samagaun after spending the wonderful night in Namrung. Today is the short day on our trekking because there are so magnificent views on the way to Samagaun where we will spend one night in this beautiful village.

Day 09: Rest day in Samagaun

Today we don’t start our trekking because today is for the rest day. This is a day for rest at Samagau to give you some acclimation. We stay in Samagaou and explore the surrounding areas or visit Birendra Tal and Anie Gompa. We will be making our body active constantly by hiking to a nearby location or exploring the area so that our body used to the altitude.  

Day 10: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo (3,860m) 4-5 hrs

In the morning time, we will slowly move towards Samdo after spending the wonderful night in Samagaon. We come across the forest field with birch, juniper, rhododendron, moss, and lichen. This is an excellent viewpoint for Mt Manaslu, Samdo, Nagdi Chuli, Sonam Himal, Manaslu glacier before reach in Samdo where we will spend one night in this village. 

Day 11: Acclimatization day in Samdo

Today we don’t start our trekking because today is for the rest day. , is a day for rest at Samagau to give you some acclimation. We stay in Samagaou and explore the surrounding areas or visit Birendra Tal and Anie Gompa. We will be making our body active constantly by hiking to a nearby location or exploring the area so that our body used to the altitude.

Day 12: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4,460m) 4-5 hrs

Early in the morning, after having breakfast we will slowly move towards Larkya La Phedi after the wonderful night in Samdo.  We will have great mountain views on the way and we get an opportunity to see the beautiful villages of this route. The night will be spent at a lodge in Samdo.  

Day 13: Trek from Dharamsala to Bimthang (3,590m) 8-9 hrs

We walk across moraines of the glacier, make a gradual ascent which becomes steeper only in the last section of the pass. During the time of this day trekking, we get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain which includes Himlung Himal, Choe Himal, and other mountains in this region. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Bimthang.    

Day 14: Trek from Bimthang to Tilije (2,300m) 5-6 hrs

We leave Bimthang for Tilije. After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly start our trekking towards Tilije after spending the wonderful night in Bimthang. We make our way down towards high pasture and then a bridge over Dudh Khola. We walk down you cross a stream to reach Tilije we will spend one night in this village.  

Day 15: Trek from Tilije to Tal (1,700m) 5-6 hrs

Leaving Tilije for Tal and we then cross the bridge over Dudh Khola and climb up through a Chorten-shaped arch. On the way, we will have our lunch then after we will slowly move towards Tal. Before reach in Tal, we will cross many suspension bridges then after we will reach Tal where we will spend one night.

Day 16: Trek from Tal to Syange (1,080m) 6-7 hrs

The road is rough and bumpy up to Syange and smoother from then. Enjoying the sceneries of hills and rivers and the trail then descends through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine, and oak. We will have our lunch on the way and move towards Syange and we will spend one night in this beautiful village. 

Day 17: Drive from Syange to Kathmandu 8-9 hrs drive

Today is the last day walking trekking where we will walk from Tal to Syange. After reach in Syange, we will have our lunch and then after we will drive towards Kathmandu valley. We will see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscapes. After reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, check out the hotel then after we will explore all around the Thamel Bazaar where we will spend one night.

Day 18: Final departure

Early in the morning, our staff will take you through the international airport to see you off. If your flight leaves early we will drop you off at the airport.
