Manaslu Short Trek is far less crowded than other classic treks in Nepal. This trekking trail is the marvelous place for trek the trek where we could be able to explore several villages during the Manaslu region. With an increasing number of trekking, the number of good teahouse and lodges are established on the trekking trails of the Manaslu circuit. It is the short version of Manaslu Circuit trek. People who are keen to go for Manaslu Base Camp trek but are barred with the time limit should experience this short trekking. This is a wonderful trekking experience in the isolated Manaslu region and Nubri valley of the Himalayas and this is an adventure into far, remote wilderness of high Gorkha district within Nepal Mid-west Himalayas. While on the trip we get to marvel at the magnificent views of the world 8th highest mountain in the world. It is a combination of both Hindu and Buddhism culture. Nepal is the adventure junkies that get their thrill from the many trekking route and option to see some of the top ten tallest mountains in the world in just one trekking journey. The Manaslu Short Trek is an awesome entry to the hidden valley bordering Nepal with Tibet.

Manaslu Short Trek is an ideal trek that holds that blend of wonderful cultural heritages, unparalleled Himalayan vista. The trek begins from Arughat after 8 hours driving from Kathmandu valley. The trek features all the great aspects of a classic trek in Nepal. In this way, we will end the wonderful and shortest trek of the Manaslu region. This is an ideal trip that has not enough time to participate the whole trek. The dialect language and culture of the people of this region please the travelers abundantly during their visit. Trekking throughout the Nubri valley adds spiritual charm on the top of the natural and Himalayan wonder. At the time of trekking, we will have a great view of the mountain, beautiful village, landscapes, and flora, and fauna of this region. During the time of trekking, we will have a great view of the mountain which includes Manaslu Mountain. We get an opportunity to know about the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Gurung people who are the local inhabitant of this region. The route is restricted trekking route and for trekking, in the route, we need special trekking permit, and without trekking permit, we will not able to enter in this route. The best season is March to May and September to December for trekking in this route.

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

We will have the representative waiting for you at the airport upon your arrival. After welcoming in the airport, we will move towards Thamel bazaar where we will spend one night. Before we reach the hotel, we will see the Pashupatinath temple which is the famous temple for the Hindu people. In the Thamel Bazaar, we may also stroll in the streets. And we will have a great night in Kathmandu valley.    

Day 02: Explore a day in Kathmandu

If you weak up early in the morning you can round little in Thamel bazaar and back in Hotel for breakfast. after the finish, your breakfast then moves towards old heritage side some of the Hindu religion Like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swambhunath, Kathmandu Darbar square, and Patan Darbar square etc.

Day 03: drive to Soti Khola (730m) 07 hrs

If the hotel is able to make the breakfast then we will have our breakfast in the hotel and if not we will have our breakfast on the way. From Kathmandu, we will take the tourist bus towards Sotikhola from where we officially start our trek. During the drive, we enjoy views of the Nepalese countryside along with the mountain scenery. After reach in Sotikhola, we will check out the hotel and we will have a great night in this beautiful bazaar. 

Day 04: trek toMachha Khola (930m) 06 hrs

On the 3rd, we will slowly start our trekking towards Machhe Khola after having breakfast in the hotel where we spend one night. Today is the first-day walking trekking of our Manaslu circuit trek. Today we head down again to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach Maccha Khola where we will spend one night.  

Day 05: Trek to Jagat (1,410m) 06 hrs

We will cross the west bank of the Budhi Gandaki. We climb over a ridge and the trek along the river and then climb towards the villages of Jagat where we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.  

Day 06: Trek to Dang (1,800m) 06 hrs

We will leave Jagat, cross the suspension bridges and reach Salleri from where the majestic views of Sringi Himal can be seen. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Deng where we will spend one night. 

Day 07: Trek to Ghap (2,160m) 04 hrs

The trail passes through the forest and painted Mani stones and a corner from where we reach Ghap. From here we climb uphill to join the trail that leads to Bih. On the way will have our lunch on the way and we will slowly move towards Ghap where we will spend one night. 

Day 08: Trek to Lo-Gaon (3,180m) 06 hrs

After having breakfast, early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Lo-Gaon after spending the wonderful night in Ghap. We get an opportunity to see the lush forest, beautiful villages, and landscape, and the wonderful mountain views during this day trekking. We will have our lunch on the way and slowly move towards Lo-Gaon where we spend overnight.

Day 09: Trek to Samagaon (3,530m) 05 hrs

From Lho, we set out for our destination today. We will enjoy wonderful views of the mountain which includes Mt Manaslu from Lho village and also explore the famous Ribung Gompa. As you continue on the main trail, you soon reach the fields of Samagaou where we will spend one night. 

Day 10: Rest day in Samagaon

Today we don’t start our trekking because today is for the rest day. This is a day for rest at Samagau to give you some acclimation. We stay in Samagaou and explore the surrounding areas or visit Birendra Tal and Anie Gompa. We will be making our body active constantly by hiking to a nearby location or exploring the area so that our body used to the altitude.

Day 11: Trek to Samdo (3,860m) 05 hrs

In the morning time, we will slowly move towards Samdo after spending the wonderful night in Samagaon. We come across the forest field with birch, juniper, rhododendron, moss, and lichen. This is an excellent viewpoint for Mt Manaslu, Samdo, Nagdi Chuli, Sonam Himal, Manaslu glacier before reach in Samdo where we will spend one night in this village. 

Day 12: Trek to Dharamsala (4,470m) 04 hrs

Today we will move towards Dharamsala where we get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful villages, landscape, and the lush forest. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Dharamsala. After reach in Dharamsala we will check out the hotel first and we will explore the entire village and back to the hotel and spend one night.   

Day 13: Cross Larke-la 5,106 m descend to Bimthang (3,720m) 08 hrs

We continue our walk down the edge. We cross the wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki and begin walking upward. From Larkya La Phedi we will slowly move toward our destination where we will have our lunch. After having lunch we will leave this place for Bimthang where we will spend one night.

Day 14: Trek to Gho (2,560m) 05 hrs

Having breakfast early in the morning, we will slowly move towards Gho after the wonderful night in Gho. We will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine and oak tree. We will have our lunch on the way and take some rest where we have our lunch and slowly move towards Gho where we will spend overnight.

Day 15: Trek to Dharapani (1,860m) 06 hrs

This day is the last day for walking trekking. The trail goes through several streams and the paddy field. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Dharapani. After 6 hours walking we will reach Dharapani and we will explore all over the village after checking out the hotel. And we will spend one night.  

Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu 07 hrs

Today will slowly move towards Kathmandu valley. We will see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscapes. We will have a great time in Kathmandu too we will explore all around the Thamel Bazaar then we will back to the hotel have our farewell dinner.  And we will spend one night.

Day 17: Final departure

Early in the morning, our staff will take you through the international airport to see you off. If your flight leaves early we will drop you off at the airport.
