Mera Peak Climbing is officially the highest trekking peak climbing in Nepal which lies in the eastern part of Nepal. Following this route has a few adventures where we not only pass through the beautiful Nepalese wilderness but also through quaint villages which will give us a glimpse into the rich culture of the locals. It is one of the most impressive trekking peaks and holds as the highest peak of Nepal and it is exciting trekking peaks and the scenically beautiful peak of the Khumbu valley. This is a physically demanding snow trek with straightforward climbing. The peak climbing along with the lush forest of Pine, Oak, and bamboo forest which offers an opportunity to increase fitness and hectic with the subalpine zone. This unspoiled area of the Everest region boasts of beautiful green terraced fields, dense forest, rushing streams, swinging bridges, and yak pasture with a backdrop of the highest mountains in the world. While climbing this route, we get the chance to see the world’s highest mountain ‘Mt Everest’. We will overcome several technical climbing sections and head towards the summit of this beautiful peak. We get the chance to see the wonderful views of the mountain which includes Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and many other mountains of this region at the time of trekking.

Mera Peak Climbing is a fantastic experience in the Himalayan of Nepal. This climbing and mountaineering begin from Lukla after 30 minutes mountain flight from Kathmandu valley. Lukla is also known as the Gateway of the Everest region. The approach to the summit is the straightforward climb with the less technical challenge than other trekking peaks. Physically and mentally fit and fine trekkers only can do this peak climbing in Nepal. We have years of experience in organizing such expeditions and have the expertise to ensure that you have every possible chance. At the time of trekking, we will get the chance to enter the Sagarmatha national park which is the home of many rare birds, animals, flora, and fauna. In this route, we will see mainly Sherpa people who are local people of this region. We get the chance to know about the culture, tradition, and the lifestyle of Sherpa people who the local inhabitant of this region. Most people are influenced by Buddhist religious. For peak climbing in this route, the best season between March to June and September to December is considered the best season for mountaineering this route.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Paiya (2,730m) 5-6 hours

Day 03: Paiya to Panggom (2,846m) 5-6 hours

Day 04: Panggom to Ningsow (2,863m) 4-5 hours

Day 05: Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800m) 7-8 hours

Day 06: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691m) 6-7 hours

Day 07:  Kothe to Thaknak (4,358m) 3-4 hours

Day 08: Thaknak to Khare (5,045m) 2-3 hours

Day 09: Rest day in Khare

Day 10: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780m) 6-7 hours

Day 11: Summit Mera Peak (6,461m) and back to Khare (5045m) 8-9 hours

Day 12: Khare to Kothe (3600m) 4-5 hours

Day 13: Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m) 5-6 hours

Day 14: Thuli Kharla to Lukla via Zatrwa La passes 6-7 hours

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival meet our office representative at the airport. You will transfer to the hotel and after reach in the hotel we will check out the hotel then after we will explore all around the Thamel Bazaar then we come back to the hotel and spend one night in Kathmandu valley.  

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Paiya (2,730m) 5-6 hours

Early in the morning after having breakfast, we will move towards local airport of Kathmandu valley to fly towards Lukla. After 30 minutes flight from Kathmandu valley we will reach Lukla and after reach, in Lukla, we will take some rest then after we will slowly move towards Paiya where we will spend one night in this beautiful place. 

Day 03: Paiya to Panggom (2,846m) 5-6 hours

We will start the trek on this day from the other side of the river and we will walk along the northern edge of the river and pass pine forest. After walking through those wonderful sites we reach at Panggom where we will spend one night in this village.

Day 04: Panggom to Ningsow (2,863m) 4-5 hours

As the trail up we get surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks. The village of Ningsow has scattered settlement with a couple of teahouses and lodges. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Ningsow village. After reaching Ningsow, first of all, we will check out the hotel and spend one night in this beautiful village.     

Day 05: Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800m) 7-8 hours

We will have the opportunity to experience the traditional lifestyle of the local people while exploring the village of Chhatra Khola. From Ningsow, we continue our trek to reach Chhatra Khola village following a rather easy slope. And we will spend the wonderful peaceful night in this beautiful village. 

Day 06: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691m) 6-7 hours

Spending the wonderful night in Chhatra Khola we will slowly start our trekking towards Kothe after having breakfast early in the morning. On the way to our destination, we will approach the famed Khumbu glacier and icefall. After 6 to 7 hours walking we will reach Kothe where we will spend one night.

Day 07:  Kothe to Thaknak (4,358m) 3-4 hours

We trek towards Thaknak. At the time of this day trekking, we get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscapes, and a small village on this route. It takes almost 3 to 4 hours to reach Thaknak from Kothe. We will go to spend the wonderful and the peaceful night in Thaknak.

Day 08: Thaknak to Khare (5,045m) 2-3 hours

After having breakfast early in the morning, we will slowly start our waking towards Khare after spending one night in Thaknak. It takes almost 2 to 3 hours to reach the island peak base camp where we will spend the wonderful and the peaceful night.

Day 09: Rest day in Khare

This day we do not start our trekking because today is for the rest day. After having breakfast we will go to explore all around Khare. We will have our lunch on the way then after again we will explore the Khare village and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.    

Day 10: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780m) 6-7 hours

We walk through a boulder-stream course on a steep trail to reach the Mera High Camp. The trail leads

 us through the lush forest, beautiful landscapes, a small village, and the wonderful views of the mountains before reach in Mera High Camp where we will go to spend the wonderful and the peaceful night.

Day 11:  Summit Mera Peak (6,461m) and back to Khare (5045m) 8-9 hours

Today early in the morning before the sunrise we will start our trekking towards to summit Mera Peak. We start our trek around 4 o’clock. We will have our breakfast and lunch on the way. After summiting the Mera Peak we will come back to Khare where we will spend one night.  

Day 12: Khare to Kothe (3600m) 4-5 hours

Leaving Khare for Kothe after having breakfast early in the morning and the walk from Khare to Kothe is mainly downhill. It takes almost 4 to 5 hours to reach Khote from Khare. We will spend the wonderful and peaceful night in this beautiful village. 

Day 13: Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m) 5-6 hours

After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly move towards Thuli Kharka after spending the wonderful night in Kothe. We get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscape, and small villages before reach in Thuli Kharka. It takes almost 5 to 6 hours to reach Thuli Kharka from Kothe and spend one night in Thuli Kharka.  

Day 14: Thuli Kharla to Lukla 6-7 hours

As the trail up we get surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks. The village of Lukla has scattered settlement with a couple of teahouses and lodges. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Lukla village. After reaching Lukla, first of all, we will check out the hotel and spend one night in this beautiful village.     

Day 15: Fly towards Kathmandu

If the hotel is able to make the breakfast then we will have our breakfast and then after we will go to the local airport of Lukla to fly towards Kathmandu valley. After reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel then after we will have our lunch and explore all around the Kathmandu valley and spend one night in this valley.

Day 16: Final departure

Today early in the morning, you will send you to the airport after having breakfast in the hotel. A representative from Everest trekking routes will take us to the airport approximately three hours before the Scheduled flight.
