Tent Peak Climbing is a charming destination for those seeking an experience of mountaineering in Nepal which lies in the middle part of Nepal. It is located in the Annapurna region of Himalayan Nepal. We trek in the Annapurna region where we get the chance to see the diverse flora, fauna, and culture of Nepal. The peak climbing is the best suited to those who are intending to step up from trekking to amateur mountaineering. It is an adventurous sport into the mountain expeditions of high Himalayas and the Himalayan have always been the focus of outstanding achievements in the world of mountain climbing in Nepal. There are amazing post-card scenes of mountain, glacier, rock faces, and sharp ridges with the pitch work of the terraced field in the foreground. On this marvelous walking journey, all type of people can join in the witness amazing culture of high hills tribes of Gurung and Magar community people. The peak climbing offers you a thrilling experience of climbing with magnificent Himalayan vistas and walking from the paddy fields to alpine beautiful rhododendron forest to arctic zone area at the Annapurna region trek. This unspoiled area of the Annapurna region boasts of beautiful green terraced fields, dense forest, rushing streams, swinging bridges, and yak pasture with a backdrop of the highest mountains in the world.

Tent Peak Climbing is also known as the Tharpu peak climbing. The peak climbing begins in Pokhara city which is also known as the city of the lake. By Himalayan standards, there are smaller mountains known as trekking peaks which any fit and keen trekker can climb. There are various rules and restrictions imposed by the government regulating peak climbing activities. This is an excellent activity for climbing in Nepal. Physically and mentally fit and fine trekkers only can do this peak climbing in Nepal. Just like other activities peak climbing is one of the most adventurous things to do in the Himalayan part of Nepal. During the time of trekking, we get the chance to see the wonderful views of the mountain which includes Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Hiunchuli, and many other mountains of this region. While doing peak climbing in this route, we will enter the Annapurna conservation area which is the home of many rare birds, animals, flora, and fauna. You will pass through terraced farmland, awesome settlement of various ethnic groups, lush forest full various species of flower and plant. The season between April to May and October to November is considered as the best season for trekking in this route.

Day 04: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m) 6 hrs

Day 05: Chhomrong to Dobhan (2,600m) 5-6 hrs

Day 06: Dobhan to Deurali (3,230m) 1 hour 30 mins

Day 07: Deurali to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m) 3-4 hrs

Day 08: Rest day at Machhapuchre Base Camp

Day 09: Machhapuchre Base Camp to Cave Camp (4,250m) 5-6 hrs

Day 10: Cave Camp to High Camp (5,200m) 4-5 hrs

Day 11: Summit Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli), return to high camp 9-10 hrs

Day 12: Tent Peak High Camp to Machapuchhre Base Camp 4-5 hrs

Day 13: Machapuchhre Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m) 6-7 hrs

Day 14: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m) 6-7 hrs

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu

We will have the representative waiting for you at the airport upon your arrival. After welcoming in the airport, we will move towards Thamel bazaar where we will spend one night. Before we reach the hotel, we will see the Pashupatinath temple which is the famous temple for the Hindu people. In the Thamel Bazaar, we may also stroll in the streets. And we will have a great night in Kathmandu valley.       

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (823m) 6 hrs

If the hotel is able to make breakfast, we will do our breakfast and slowly move towards Pokhara which is also known as the city of the lake. We will get an opportunity to see the wonderful views, landscapes, and the small villages and after 6 hours we will reach Pokhara where we will spend one night.

Day 03:  Drive to Naya Pul and trek to Ghandruk (1940m) 5-6 hrs

Early in the morning after having breakfast, we will drive towards Nayapul after spending the wonderful night in Pokhara. After reach in Nayapul, we will take some rest and slowly walk towards Ghandruk. We trek uphill on the trail to Ghandruk enjoying panoramic views of the mountain and we will spend one night in this beautiful Gurung village.  

Day 04: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m) 6 hrs

We will start the trek on this day from the other side of the river and we will walk along the northern edge of the river and pass pine forest. After walking through those wonderful sites we reach at Chhomrong where we will spend one night in this village.

Day 05: Chhomrong to Dobhan (2,600m) 5-6 hrs

As the trail up we get surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks. The village of Dobhan has scattered settlement with a couple of teahouses and lodges. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Dobhan village. After reaching Dobhan, first of all, we will check out the hotel and spend one night in this beautiful village.      

Day 06: Dobhan to Deurali (3,230m) 1 hour 30 mins

We will leave Dobhan and fallow the trail that is a leveled path for few hours, along with the less dense or thin vegetation. During the time of trekking, we can capture the Annapurna valley Himalayan views. And we will have our lunch on the way and slowly move towards Deurali where we will spend one night.     

Day 07: Deurali to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m) 3-4 hrs

At the time of trekking, the trail ascends us through pine and rhododendron forest. We will pass through many beautiful places while trekking along this route. We will have our lunch on the way and we will slowly move towards Machhapuchre Base Camp where we will spend one night.   

Day 08: Rest day at Machhapuchre Base Camp

Today we don’t start our trekking because today is for rest and we will take some rest. In the morning after having breakfast, we will go to explore all around the Machhapuchre Base Camp and we will have our lunch on the way then after again we will explore around the Machhapuchre Base Camp village and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.

Day 09: Machhapuchre Base Camp to Cave Camp (4,250m) 5-6 hrs

After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly move towards Cave camp after spending the wonderful night in Machhapuchre Base Camp. On the way, we get the chance to see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscape; small villages and we will have lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Base Camp where w will spend one night.   

Day 10: Cave Camp to High Camp (5,200m) 4-5 hrs

We leave early in the morning we will move towards High Camp after spending the wonderful night in the beautiful village Cave camp. During the time of trekking, we will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards High Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 11: Summit Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli), return to high camp 9-10 hrs

Today is the day we all have desperately waiting for and following the guidance and instruction for our experienced climbing expert, we will overcome several technical sections and head towards the summits. After summiting the peaks we will come back to the hotel and after 9 to 10 hours walking we will reach High Camp where we will spend the peaceful night.   

Day 12: Tent Peak High Camp to Machapuchhre Base Camp 4-5 hrs

Here, we will find the narrow trail and be moving towards Machhapuchre Base Camp. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will move towards Machhapuchre Base Camp where we will spend one night in this beautiful village.

Day 13: Machapuchhre Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m) 6-7 hrs

Having breakfast early in the morning we will move towards Bamboo after spending the wonderful night at Machhapuchre Base Camp. At the time of trekking, we will get the great view of the mountain which can be seen from this trail where we will spend overnight in this village. 

Day 14: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m) 6-7 hrs

The trail ascends through pine and rhododendron forest. We will pass through many beautiful places while trekking along this route. We will have our lunch on the way and we will slowly move towards Jhinu Dada where we will spend one night. 

Day 15: Jhinu Dada to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara 7 hrs

We will leave Jhinu Dada for Naya Pul. After walking hours we will reach Nayapul where we will have an hour lunch then after we will slowly move towards Pokhara which is also known as the city of the lake. After reach in Pokhara, first of all, we will check out the hotel and we will explore all around the Pokhara city and come back to the hotel and spend overnight.

Day 16: Pokhara to Kathmandu

After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly drive towards Kathmandu valley after spending the wonderful night in Pokhara. We will have our lunch and we will slowly move towards Kathmandu valley. We will get the chance to see small landscapes, beautiful villages, and we will reach Kathmandu valley where we will spend overnight.   

Day 17: Final departure

Today early in the morning, you will send you to the airport after having breakfast in the hotel. A representative from Everest trekking routes will take us to the airport approximately three hours before the Scheduled flight.
